Opportunities at Brimscombe Mill

A placement is the word we use for a job specially prepared for someone who has a barrier to working.

Some of the barriers are to do with disability, some are because of family situations and some are a question of confidence to step out into a new job. If a work placement is of interest to you, Brimscombe Mill’s Placement Co-ordinator, Mo, is here to support you into meaningful work.

Normally, our work placements involve a 6 month paid placement in one of our network businesses. Mo ensures your new manager is helping you develop in the role, and meets with you regularly to ensure you are supported.

During the placement, you will be encouraged to think about next steps, which could involve:

  • Going to education to get into the career you want

  • Finding a role at Brimscombe Mill that is permanent

  • Getting a job at a company you have always admired

By the end of the placement, our hope is that the barriers that once seemed so big now feel smaller. The options ahead of you look more promising and there's 6 month’s pay in your pocket to help kick start the next chapter in your life.

We love to see people try and overcome barriers life have thrown them. If you would like to have a chat with Mo about our work placements, or know someone that might be interested, get in touch.
