24.05.25 - The Sanctuary Series: STILL OUT Film/Music/Q&A - £15 ticket
24.05.25
Touching on friendship, place and the passing of time, STILL OUT is an audio-visual collaboration between musician-producers Will Cookson, Tom Haverly and filmmaker Rufus Exton. Non-narrative in form, it evokes a road trip they took together in the summer of 2024 from Yorkshire to Devon, using footage of the natural world to illuminate a musical collage inspired by their rediscovery of The KLF’s iconic 1990 album Chill Out.
Taking in various landscapes referenced in the music, their journey was shot by friend and filmmaker Rufus Exton. The resulting footage was then edited into a 40-minute reflection on what it means to step away from the routine of daily life, celebrating our relationship to the world around us and what it means to pass through time and space.
🎧 Kick things off with DJ Mendoza spinning from 7pm, then settle in for our film screening at 7:30pm followed by a Q&A session. After the credits roll, stick around for riverside vibes, drinks, and good tunes.
🥕 We’re serving up a Pay-As-You-Can feast at The Long Table, packed with seasonal goodness and locally sourced flavours.
🍽️ Rock up early, grab yourself a plate, and fuel up before the talk begins. (Heads up: dinner’s not included in the ticket price.)
🎟️ Tickets are priced at £15 — this helps us cover event costs and keep Brimscombe Mill buzzing with more moments like this. Ticket price a barrier to access ? No worries — free tickets are available on the previous page. No one’s left out.
