A gamelan workshop is a hands-on music session where participants play traditional xylophones
The group learns simple rhythms and melodies before playing together as an ensemble. It’s accessible, sociable and suitable for complete beginners, no musical experience is needed. Gamelan workshops are particularly good for children because everyone contributes to creating one shared piece of music. Children will also make shadow puppets to take home.
Wednesday 19th August, 10:00-12:30.
For ages 7 upwards.
Parents and carers need to stay on site while this is taking place.
The session is £4 a person. As always we want this session to be accessible to all and there are free sessions for you to book on us.
